There has to be some sort of thinking cap dump site somewhere. Piled high. Really high. Anyone care to tell me where it is? I need to retrieve mine from there.
We all do stupid things. It’s fact.
I mean who (whom) ever came up with the idea to converge Backstreet Boys (minus Kevin) and New Kids on the Block into a massive boy band catastrophe like a 80′s and 90′s hurricane destroying the hearts and minds of the next generation reminding them of how ‘weird’ our parents were and how un-original the new ‘talent’ that is rising really is. OK so the hurricane part might have been a bit dramatic. Thinking caps are what I am talking about. They may have needed a few of them actually.
What to hear something amazingly stupid? The other day I tried to unlock my front door with my car remote. Then I looked around awkwardly to see if anyone saw me. No one was there. But it’s still totally embarrassing.
But on the real, my friend and I were chatting and it seems like a reoccurring theme when we have our late night chats. Sometimes we don’t think. It’s like that cap of ours was pitched to the wind, but that’s the glory of it. Knowing that because we forget our thinking caps sometimes, or maybe most of the time, because it’s not those moments of ‘stupidity’ that define us. It’s the fact that no matter what we do, grace and mercy is always relevant, always there to back us up. It’s like having a constant stunt double.
Semi-recently, I posted a comment on one of Relevant Magazine.com’s Podcast pages. The question of the week was ‘What are you thankful for?’ I answered ‘stupid people. Without them it would be a dull dull world.’ (They actually read it the next week on the podcast, in turn making me feel like a celeb but then I realized Kim Kardashian still existed and then POOF(!). Moment was over. 
) In all honesty… without some our quirks, stupid moments, ultimate embarrassing happenings in life, where would our entertainment come from. America’s Funniest Home Videos would be vanquished. Reality T.V. wouldn’t exist. (Which to me is the stupidest thing on the planet right above Satan).
